Ula Ulijona is the winner of theWilliam Primrose InternationalViola Competition in Chicago, USA.
As a soloist she has played with Moscow Soloists Orchestra at Tchaikovsky Conservatory Hall together with Yuri Bashmet performing the J.S.Bach Brandenburg Concerto No.6 for two violas and orchestra; the Kremerata Baltica Chamber Orchestra at Vienna Konzerthaus, Musikverein, Salzburg Mozarteum, London Royal Albert Hall, New York Carnegie Hall, Tokyo Suntory Hall and Milano Teatro alla Scala performing Mozart Sinfonia Concertante for violin, viola and orchestra and Pergolesi-Auerbach "Sogno d Stabat Mater" (premiere) for violin, viola and orchestra together with Gidon Kremer.
She has aslo performed as soloist with the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra under maestro S.Sondeckis, with the Boston Symphony Orchestraa at Boston Symphony Hall, the London Philharmonic Orchestra at London BBC Proms with Kurt Sanderling, the
Radio Philharmonic Orchestra of Holland at the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, the
Winterthur Symphony Orchestra and Heinrich Schiff, as well as at the Koelner Philharmonie, Dublin National Concert Hall, Milano Verdi Conservatorio, Seoul Arts Center Concert Hall, Chateau de Fontainbleau(France), Konzerthaus Berlin and Frankfurt Alte Oper.
Ula Ulijona has performed chamber music together with Yuri Bashmet. Gidon Kremer, David Geringas, Thomas Demenga, Sol Gabetta, Nikolaj Znaider, Renaud Capucon, Heinz Holliger, Louis Lourtie, Michala Petri, Lars Voght, Kristine Blaumane, Andrius Zlabys, Marie Elisabeth Hecker.
She is a member of the chamber music ensemble Kremerata Musica and permanent guest at the Kronberg (Germany) Festival, playing chamber music concerts and giving masterclasses for young talented musicians.
